Super W squad and fixtures revealed
The Western Force squad, fixtures and venues have now been set in stone for the 2021 Buildcorp Super W season, with the Force drawn in Pool A alongside the ACT Brumbies and Queensland Reds.
The opening round will feature fixtures in Brisbane and Queanbeyan, before the tournament shifts to C.ex Coffs International Stadium in Coffs Harbour, on New South Wales’ mid-north coast. The Force open their season with an afternoon clash against the President’s XV before taking on the NSW Waratahs and the Melbourne Rebels in Coffs Harbour.
Each Buildcorp Super W team will play three fixtures against the opponents outside of their pool ahead of a Finals day on Saturday 3 July in Coffs Harbour.
Stan Sport has also confirmed that every match of Super W will be ad-free, live and on demand.
The Force squad has also been confirmed, including Wallaroos stars Arianna Hira-Herangi and Trilleen Pomare. Led by Head Coach Wayne Walden, it’s set to be an exciting campaign for the newly structured side and for the women’s game in Western Australia.
The team will play under the Western Force name, with RugbyWA overseeing the operational and logistical aspects in a collaborative approach.
One more player is set to be added to the squad.
The Western Force would like to thank their proud Super W partners and suppliers Fortescue Metals Group, Hino Trucks WA, Go Catalyst, SLW Transport, CD Dodd, Retravision, O’Neills, Renew IT and Bondivite for their support. The club is still seeking a principal partner to lead the team for the 2021 season. Please contact Huw Lock at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
