VETERAN TO LEAD YOUNG TALENT IN OUR SCRUM
One of the Force’s most experienced players, Kieran Longbottom said he has been impressed with the team’s younger players and their growth this year.
Going up against a Wallaby boosted ACT Brumbies forward pack this Saturday, Longbottom is excited to provide leadership but is eager to see fellow young front-rowers Angus Wagner and Feleti Kaitu’u step up and showcase their skills.
“The Brumbies have a very good front row, but to us, we see that as a challenge and with every challenge there is an opportunity to prove ourselves,” Longbottom said.
“You want to be the best and you want to come up against the best.
“We showed last weekend what we could do against the Reds scrum. We feel like we did better there and we have only improved again for this week. This is a Wallaby front row, so if we can have a good outing against that we can be super proud and set our team up for success.”
