Ferris dreams of the Fortress
Nedlands player Tevin Ferris is looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd against the Sydney Rays after two games and a week away.
Ferris has been humbled by the support he has seen throughout the year and is excited to play in front of another full hill.
“That’s what drives us so often when we are at home, it is a fortress and it is because of the fans that we call it that,” Ferris said.
“We are looking forward to playing in front of our home crowd again, it’s been two weeks on the road, so come back home and play against our home crowd and hopefully they can fill the hill as they always do and get behind us.
“That’s what I will be looking forward to and hopefully we can get a good win for them.”
The 22-year-old has had a strong season so far having started in all four matches and has been enjoying the year as much as possible.
“Just to be given this opportunity again and go out against Australia’s best. I’m really enjoying it, it’s fun,” Ferris said.
Ferris has also been enjoying the quality of rugby the competition has to offer this year.
“The quality of lads we have in the team, that’s what makes it so special,” he said.
“Heading over to Queensland over the weekend and notching up a win that was no easy task just shows the quality that NRC has.
“It’s definitely a strong competition and I’m enjoying playing in it.”
The Force host the Sydney Rays at UWA Sports Park on Sunday, September 30. Kick off at 3pm.
