Pek made his Investec Super 14 debut against the Waratahs in 2006 but didn’t get a run the following year despite being a member of the Emirates Western Force tour to New Zealand. He played for Australia at the U21 World Championships in 2005 and 2006, and would surely have made the team in 2007 if there had been a tournament. Pek plays for Nedlands in the local competition and likes Perth so much he has bought property here. He was the Players’ Player in the ET Perth Spirit match against the Rams in the Mazda Australian Rugby Championship but broke his right ankle the following week against the Vikings and sat out the rest of the competition.
