Profile
Ed Stubbs links with the Emirates Western Force having been a permanent fixture of the Australian Sevens side for the past three years. The backline tyro returns for his second stint of Super Rugby, having made his debut with the Brumbies against the Cheetahs during the 2010 season. Stubbs, who played three Super Rugby matches for the ACT province, was a member of the 2011 Brumbies squad before returning to his Sevens duties last year. The robust 23-year-old made his international Sevens debut in Adelaide in 2010 and was a member of the Cup-winning side in London that year, as well as finishing runners-up in the subsequent Edinburgh tournament. Stubbs has also tasted club rugby success after starring for the Tuggeranong Vikings in their 2009 premiership win in Canberra’s John I Dent Cup, scoring two tries in that grand final. A powerful runner with an ability to offload, Stubbs will be pushing for further Super Rugby representation in 2013.
