Profile
Locky McCaffrey is a grafting back-rower who returns for his second season with the Emirates Western Force. The versatile No.8/flanker loves to run the ball, is a genuine option in the lineout and always on the ball. Having climbed the representative ranks of Australian rugby since leaving school, McCaffrey joined the Emirates Western Force from the Waratahs for the 2012 season. McCaffrey, who made his Super Rugby debut in 2010 with NSW before an ankle injury rendered him unavailable in 2011, played seven matches for the Force last season, including starting at No.8 against the Blues and Crusaders. While surgery to correct a troublesome ankle ruled him out of playing any club rugby, McCaffrey will be ready for the beginning of the 2012 pre-season as he looks to build on his partnership with the likes of Matt Hodgson, Richard Brown and new recruit Chris Alcock.
