Profile
Richard Brown has been a mainstay of the Emirates Western Force’s back row over the past seven years. The versatile Brown, a member of the inaugural Emirates Western Force side in 2006, is equally adept at No.8, openside and blindside flanker, and remains the club’s third most-capped player (75 caps) behind Nathan Sharpe (92) and Matt Hodgson (83). Brown returned from a double shoulder reconstruction ahead of the 2012 season, to again hold down his position within the Emirates Western Force’s formidable back row. The tough 28-year-old has built his game around a high and tireless work rate, combined with his confrontational and non-compromising approach. He has been a regular in the Wallabies’ set-up since making his international debut against the All Blacks in 2008. A player content to let his actions speak for him, Brown will again feature prominently on the ball for the Emirates Western Force in 2013.
