Profile
A rejuvenated Brett Sheehan enters his fourth season with the club after extending his stay with the Emirates Western Force by a further year. The 33-year-old, affectionately known as the ‘Old Bull’, is a tough and terrier-like scrumhalf that enjoyed a strong season and was one of four players to take the field in all 16 matches. His on-field tenacity was recognised by Wallabies coach Robbie Deans when he called Sheehan into the Australian squad for the final three matches of the Rugby Championship and Spring Tour. Like any good scrumhalf, Sheehan makes up for his short stature with his experience and big on-field presence, with the veteran receiving Inside Rugby’s ‘Best Sledger’ gong as voted by his peers. Sheehan, who joined the Emirates Western Force in 2010, will again play a senior leadership role within the team as he looks to cover the 12 games necessary to reach his 100th Super Rugby cap and 50th cap for the Force.
