Associates has taken out the Under 20s premiership at McGillivray Oval in spectacular fashion, defeating Kalamunda 33-0.
Soaks were on the board early after a mistake in the in-goal from Kalamunda lead to a five metre Scrum and from a close starter play hooker John Ogilvie pick and drove the ball over. The score remained 5-0 with Scott Tolmie missing the conversion.
Wynand Breytenbach joined the try-scorers list after some poor kick chase from Kalamunda lead to a good counter attack try. Tolmie again missed the extras to take the score to 10-0.
Before the half time whistle Tolmie found his target with a successful penalty kick and Associates had a healthy 13-0 lead.
Another penalty goal was added after the break and was quickly backed up with Soaks third try to Sam Webber. They worked the ball wide to find Webber on the wing and he evaded the Kalamunda defence to ground the ball which was converted by Tolmie.
Kalamunda struggled to maintain possession and Soaks punished them further when they turned the ball over in their 22 and Ronan Colleran ran the length of the field to score and extend the lead to 28-0.
Ross Palframan finished it off with an easy try as he ran around the tired Kalamunda defence before the final whistle was sounded. Associates were the run out winners, defeating Kalamunda 33-0.
